ABOUT HEART OF HOPE
The Heart of Hope Charitable Fund a 501c(3) non-profit organization started in 2006. Its mission is to strive to make the lives of women and men who are battling breast cancer a little easier. This may be by helping with financial burden, helping with errands, or any other type of help needed. Cancer takes emotional and physical tolls on an individual and we provide them aid so he/she can focus on healing.
ABOUT OUR FOUNDER
Carlene battled and beat breast cancer in 2004. She learned her diagnosis, embraced her treatment, and immediately reordered the priorities of her life. As she marched through surgery, chemo, radiation, and hormone treatment, she took a pledge to help her fellow survivors along their breast cancer journey. She made it her mission to give back, to share what she had gone through, and to help make life easier for those with a similar diagnosis.
Putting her creative talents to work with the help of Republic Jewelry and Collectibles, Carlene designed a pendant she called The Heart of Hope. This pendant symbolizes breast cancer awareness and the sales of it directly benefit local women and men with breast cancer. Since the original piece, Carlene has designed subsequent pieces for the Heart of Hope Collection.
